Pink seems to be the most popular colour choice for parents who have a little girl. Why is it that pink has for ages been the most preferred colour for a girl while blue is the one usually picked if the baby is a boys? You can get all baby items in blue or pink.

There are lots of different styles of pushchairs, buggies and prams that can be bought now. The majority of the top manufacturers like Silver Cross, Tako, OBaby and Hauck make a version in pink.

Some of the major points that you need to take into consideration while selecting your stroller are ease of use, type of wheel, the chassis, tyres, colour but mainly safety and comfort for baby. Let us look at each of them individually.

We discussed the colour earlier but although this site is mainly about pink, it is possible to of course buy a buggy in black, yellow, blue or you can choose any colour that you like.

For strollers it is possible to get pram wheels that are static, ones that twist a little for manoeuvrability or those that twist around 360 degrees. The basic wheels are perfectly usable and good if the price is a major factor. The more complicated types are a bit better though if flexibility is more important when pushing. Another thing to think about is how many wheels you want to have. Some strollers have three wheels whilst the majority have four.

Different kinds of tyres are used for different terrain which you want to travel over. The more pricy strollers have suspension and air tyres so that whatever surface you need to pass over, the ride is stable, comfortable and safer for your baby while making it easier for the parent pushing at the same time.

One can argue that there are only two types of pushchair chassis, ones that fold and those which don’t. Nowadays all buggies have a strong enough chassis to withstand the wear and tear of normal ongoing use.

Of course while the baby is most important, you also want to ensure that it easy for the parent to use. There are a lot of extras which you can get such as a shopping bag or adjustable handles. You can also get extras that make baby more comfortable as well such as foot muffs and a rain cover. When comparing prices always check if these are included in the price. Sometimes you have to pay for them separately.

If you will be taking the pushchair on public transport a lot, or even put it in the boot of your car, it is probably better if you make sure that you buy a foldable one.

Hopefully, now, after looking through this page, you know some more about the different points that you need to think about when selecting which pram you are going to get. Perhaps it will be one of our pink buggies.
